BELIEVERS AND PROPHECY

Written by Gloria

Isaiah 46:9-11
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:11 calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Amos 3:7
Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets

Prophecy is important in our lives as believers, from Old Testament saints like Joseph who learned about the famine before it happened, to Abram who God gave a new name Abraham meaning the father of many nations before Isaac or Ishmael was born. Prophet Isaiah wrote about Jesus and one of David’s Psalm foreshadowed the born again experience when he wrote ‘create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me’. There are many other examples that show that our God is a God of prophecy

The Enemy & Counterfeit Prophecies

Many Christians go through experiences where pastors give them a prophetic word about their finances, current or potential spouses, children, etc. These prophecies are mainly about God prospering the believer with worldly possessions. The problem with these prophecies is that they are fleshly and appeal to our human desires. Prophecies like this make us the center and shows as if God is in servitude to humans. God is not at our beck and call and any teaching that says God is out to fulfill our desires is a false teaching.

There are those interpreting end time prophecies on various social media platforms but then tell viewers to make a choice for God. In doing so, they mix a truth with a lie and lead people to more bondage. Most of them probably don’t even know they are wrong. I personally was led into accepting Jesus through the sinner’s prayer after watching a “prophetic” end-time movie. The sinner’s prayer gave demons legal right in my life which led to a decade of deception and torment until I was delivered by learning the truth.

Confusion surrounding prophecies – have they occurred or not?  The preterist view states that certain scriptures were fulfilled a long time ago, and futurism interprets the same scripture stating that it will happen in the future. Both views were created with the intention to throw off believers in the middle ages from interpreting scripture surrounding the anti-Christ.

There is also a practice many do called bibliomancy – where one take scriptures or reads a bible character’s story and prophecy the same for themselves. Scriptures need to be read in context meaning you have to determine who the audience is and whether the topic addressed relates to you. A bible character’s story is not to be used to justify personal mistakes, a good example is many who are caught in adultery, are always quick to mention David and speak on how he was still God’s chosen. David’s adultery doesn’t give anyone else the license to engage in promiscuity or adultery. The same people who want to use David’s story show how they cherry pick verses to their liking because the same David suffered for the sin he committed. Just because God said he was a man after his own heart did not make him immune from the consequences of his sin.

THE RESULTS

End time prophecies have been used to create fear; people don’t like to touch the subject as they find it too complex. This leaves many vulnerable to false prophecies which they are unable to test and discern its source and motive.

Many are confused as to what they should be looking for due to so many views and mostly importantly many are being led to deception by saying the sinner’s prayer which opens them up to be demonized.

Distraction – if a prophecy can have you looking in the wrong direction you are pretty much a sitting duck for the enemy e.g. if you get a prophecy that you will be married in a year or so, chances are you will marry someone who shows up in that time-frame who is completely wrong for you.

Apathy – people have grown increasingly weary of hearing that Jesus is coming back as they have heard many prophecies giving the specific date of his return only for it not to happen. What’s even more tragic is that because of this alot of people are mocking what is actually going to happen to their own demise.

The purpose of prophecy is for God to reveal his plans before they unfold. Another reason is stated clearly in 1 Corinthians 14:3
“But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.”

Prophecy is important in a believer’s life and should not be used to promote fear but to forewarn, strengthen, encourage and comfort.

Believers should handle prophecy by testing all things, if it contradicts the scripture then don’t follow it.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 Do not quench the Spirit.  Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.

Why the Sinners Prayer Led to the Great Falling Away

By Pastor Pam Sheppard

I believe that it was the traditional congregation’s invitation, of “opening the doors of the church,” that  ushered in  countless demons into the visible church system.  The founding fathers of Methodism  instituted a superior practice of placing those who seek to escape the wrath that is to come  on a probationary  membership status. The founding fathers of Methodism were wise enough to not only create a procedure to  ensure a bona fide salvation but also to protect the body from fellowship with unbelievers.  However, over time, the full enforcement of this practice became ineffective, as people were brought into permanent church status without having manifested fruits of salvation.  I personally believe that when converts can demonstrate that they are truly disciples of the Lord, then we can fellowship with them as brethren, and not before.

Yet another open door to the religious demon is the coined spiritual phrases.  A  Christian idiom most frequently expressed is  “the Lord led me.”  In a book called “Unholy Devotion,” the author aptly warns of the danger of spiritualizing:

At first glance the phrase sounds quite spiritual, but a close examination of Scripture reveals that it is not always biblical. On several occasions the phrase is used by or to describe false prophets or deceptive people. Jacob deceived his father by spiritualizing issues. Esau, Jacob’s brother, had just gone hunting. Too quickly, it seemed, Jacob, claiming to be Esau, brought the killed game to his father. “How did you find game so quickly?” Isaac asked. Having usurped Esau’s place, Jacob lied to his sick, blind father. But notice Jacob’s very ‘spiritual’ response: ‘The Lord your God gave me success.” (Gen27:20) Jacob was playing dangerous games, spiritualizing in order to manipulate someone he knew would believe such words. Jacob wasn’t a false cult leader or prophet; he was God’s own chosen servant”.

Christians often think that the seeds of heresy are found only in cults and in off-beat sects of Christianity. But John, in his first letter, and Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, reminded us that heretical teachers are often found within the church itself. Jesus notes that the dormant seeds of heresy can be buried in the lawns of the church. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable of the kingdom of heaven: The enemy sowed seeds within this kingdom. In our desire to discover and understand the doctrines of cults, we may forget that potential gardens of heresy lie within our own walls. Remember: Sun Myung Moon was raised a Presbyterian; David Berg, founder of the Children of God, was once an Evangelical pastor; Jim Jones pastored a Christian church; many leaders in the People’s Temple and Jonestown were former members of Nazarene, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Assemblies of God Churches.” 1 (HL Bussell, pg.111)

Besides the altar call, the invitation to Christian discipleship, and the various professions of faith, there are  other  coined religious platitudes and phrases like “Jesus, come into my heart” and “I accepted Jesus into my life”  that  lead to  counterfeit births.   I myself have not been able to find any scriptures in the bible that suggest that we should ask Jesus to come into our hearts.   I believe that when the Lord says that we must abide in Him, He means that we must stay in Him without wavering, in other words,—- to continue, to dwell, to be present, to remain. This is the essence of the Greek word,  that was translated “abide” in John 15.  Accordingly, baring fruit in Christ is a manifestation of a believer continuing and remaining in Him.

Yet Satan’s plot against the organized church  actually took shape  under the ministry of a preacher called Charles Finney.

Charles Finney

Finney was quite a wicked looking man, as you can see the devil all up in his face. The man lived a long time when you consider that in his lifetime, the average live span was  from the late forties to about 65.  Finney lived tobe 83, from 1792-1875. A fiery New York preacher, Finney’s impact on church traditions and practices has been  so profound, that his influence is still spreading globally almost two centuries later.  Finney’s notoriety is that he is the one who brought the entire church the “make a decision for Christ” through repeating the sinners prayer and the altar call.  A practicing freemason for 8 years, Finney eventually disavowed if.  Yet what I have learned about freemasonry is that it is witchcraft. And you just  don’t walk away from witchcraft without a struggle.

Anyway, in a nutshell,  Finney believed that human beings were capable of choosing whether they would be corrupt by nature or redeemed, referring to original sin as an “anti-scriptural and nonsensical dogma”  In clear terms, Finney denied the notion that human beings possess a sinful nature. Therefore, if Adam leads us into sin,  he does so not by our inheriting his guilt and corruption, but by our  following his poor example, this leads logically to the view of Christ as not having died for sins but for some lofty, moralistic reason.

Well, this was the man who started the altar call, invitation to Christian discipleship, “I accept Jesus,” practice that has led to the greatest falling away—the one that Paul himself predicted would transpire.  Consequently, due to Charles Finney, souls have probably not been saved within the organized church system for at least 150 years!!!! This doctrine has  primarily affected the Protestants much  more than the Catholics. Another fallen angel, Mother Mary had a different strategy for THEM. The “make a decision, I accept Jesus gospel has so permeated all Protestant Church tradition, a problem that Baptist preacher Paul Washer is diligently trying to correct, to no avail.  Washer is correct on this score but there  are errors in his teaching as well, which is yet “another story.”  Another practice that Finney started was to use the preacher’s invitation at the end of a sermon to evoke an emotional response, in other words to create a charged up atmosphere to manipulate a false conversion.

Christian Seers, Prophets or Psychics?

psychic3

I got a comment from one of the visitors to a public blog who told me that she had a witchcraft spirit. I asked her how she came to believe this and she said that an online prophet that she has been following for two years told her so.

She had no idea what he meant so she started looking this up herself and in so doing, searched the web and found me.  I told her to send me a URL of this man’s blog and she sent it.

I found this on his blog:

As a Prophet with sight beyond sight, I differ from those who can operate with extra-sensory perception. As a Prophet, God has given me the authority to truly decree a thing and see it established. The foremost part to prophecy is the circumventing of events merely by the power of speech. And this is what I get up everyday to do with passion, dedication and humility. I am prophecy and prophecy is me all for the glory of God.

So God gave him the power to DECREE that this woman has a witchcraft spirit? If he has the authority  to decree and declare the future, then why not “circumvent” his prediction— that this woman has a witchcraft spirit and declare her spirit to be demon free?

After doing a review of his teachings posted  his blog, I find that  this “seer” is the one the witchcraft spirit is this prophet, not the woman he prophesied to.

This so called seer also suggests that Christian prophets today operate by the power of extra-sensory perception or ESP. On that, I can agree.  ESP is a new age practice where information is received by occult means, which  includes telepathy, precognition, retro-cognition and mediumship or channeling with so called dead spirits, which are really fallen angels masquerading as the dead.

Beware!

The utterance of a false prophet can hinder your life for decades, particularly if you have internalized in your mind that the prophecy is the truth and that it came from God. To undo the damage, you may need help.  If so, call 888-818-1117 or complete the contact form below.

The Supernatural, Witchcraft and the Christian

Those whom the Lord saves who were accustomed to supernatural experiences like telekinesis, poltergeist and other magical types of manifestations will try to explain such phenomena with scriptures. They rationalize and continue to believe that psychic phenomena are the gift of miracles.

For example, I was just born again a year or so when I spoke to a storm and it seemed that I stopped it.   It was one of those summer storms.  My clothes were drying on an outside line and I had just settled down in my backyard in a lawn chair with a cool drink when the sky got dark and the winds kicked up.  I stood up, spoke directly to the storm and commanded it to leave.  I kid you not, it rained all around my backyard, but not a drop fell where I dwelled.  The sun came back out, shined only above me, while the entire neighborhood was flooded with rain. It was quite a deluge.  So of course, I connected this incident to the Lord speaking to a storm and what He said about speaking to mountains as my biblical “confirmation”.   I look back now and I realize that this manifestation was not from God.  The motive?  To make me into a signs and wonders, charismatic freak. The fallen angel responsible was quite successful.  It didn’t take much to turn me into granola—a fruit, a nut and a flake!

Here is the crux of the problem.  As a product of New Age occultism, Christians with psychic phenomena in their past remain ignorant of the deception of the mighty foe.  So once born again, each of us has been assigned a religious/witchcraft spirit entity whose job is to seek every opportunity to buffet us with counterfeits of the gifts of the Holy Ghost that seem to be from God.   The assigned fallen angel or demon waits for an element of the flesh  to manifest itself in the new believer, in order to gain his master’s end.  The Apostle Paul calls that aspect of our flesh by the name of witchcraft.  Like Simon the Sorcerer, we carry in our flesh a lust for the supernatural that the enemy works with. Since occultists are trained to expect the supernatural, hidden in our flesh remains the same desire AFTER we are saved.

How did I overcome? My story is in “Come Out of Her, God’s People.”

I experienced  many dealings of the flesh—many trials, tribulations and tests.

Being put to death in the flesh goes on and on.  Overcoming was not finished in one mighty stroke.  The Holy Spirit covered all bases, first dealing  with my ambition for the 3 p’s of prestige, prominence and power.   What helped me is that even when I was a sinner,  I was  a lover of the truth.  So I became one who sought spiritual truth at all cost. Also,  as Paul was assigned a religious demon–a thorn in his flesh–to develop him, so was I.

I am a overcomer because my religious demon presented me with trials and temptations  to overcome. From 1977-2003, —26 years–the religious demon was in the driver’s seat  regarding charismatic manifestations. I was completely duped.  Yet in 2003—, once I prayed “Lord, show me the darkness that is around me,”—  all things continue to be exposed.

In every test, I had the choice of going down and being crushed by the spirit of the anti-christ or rising up in spirit victory.  I ROSE UP!

The Fallacy of Personal Prophecies

Prophecies can be a blessing or a curse. Personal prophecy has caused some Christians to try to make it come true with disastrous results. The most danger for abuse lies in personal prophecy. Charismatic witches use personal prophecy to control others. Some Christians think that they have to have a word from the Lord or there is something wrong with them. The true prophet does not make any mistakes.

As salvation is by faith supplied by the Holy Spirit, fallen angels also supply their brand of faith into their captives to keep the captive bound to them. I have proof of this in my own life. as long as I had faith in a doctrine or a practice, it continued. As soon as I lost faith in it, it STOPPED without any other effort on my part.

So as long as we believe what evil spirits have taught us, we give them a doorway to remain in our lives. They will repeat the same ole stuff to us, using the same ole bait to entrap us.

The belief system is as important to deliverance as it is to salvation.

When I was an atheist, dabbling around in the occult and not knowing what it was, I used to get loads of personal prophecies from what I believe today to be fallen angels. When you invite them in, they often come bringing what seems to be glad tidings. For example, greatness and fame. They first told me that I would become a great psychic, more powerful and better known than Edgar Cayce and Jean Dixon. All I had to do was submit to their teaching and I would be great.

Then the Holy Ghost snatched me out of their hands, so Edgar and Jean were never mentioned again. They waited for me to understand what the IC wS all about. Then they started to set me up to desire to be a mega preacher like TD Jakes and Jpyce Meyer. what did those two have that aI did not have? I was better educated than both of them. I also had the fire, the charisma, the ability to preach and such, plus I wrote my own books.

It was the same story about greatness and fame, only with different characters and no longer from the occult but from Christianity.

I don’t have a covetous nature. I am basically creative from the sense that if this does not work, I always have an option. I don’t look at what other people have and then covet it for myself. So they had to create that in me by causing me to believe God favored others over me. The way to do it was to dangle the bait, I reach out for it, and it’s pulled out of my reach.

So Christian TV became an opportunity for the evil spirits to mock me. SEE WHAT THEY HAVE? You are better than the mega folk and yet look at what you have. A little congregation of less than 50 people who could care less about you.

I did not get over this until the Lord spoke to me in 2007. When He spoke, I realized that it was religious fallen angels who prospered the Megas and not God and that God is not in the IC.

I was blown away. All of that desire they put in me for greatness and religious fame was blown away also.

The key is that once out of my belief system, I have not heard yet another personal prophecy concerning.  In the last 6 months, I received two personal prophecies with the same message:  that I shall live another 3 decades.

Could this be God? Most definitely. Why? because for the last 20 years, all the devil has done is threaten to kill me!!! ROFLOL
